This is a photo of a Hindu Priest performing a pooja. A pooja is basically a Hindu ceremony or ritual which shows reverence to God. There is probably some form of Puja in every religion. Any ceremony for God is a Pooja. At one time this was a popular profession but today's young men do not like to become priests. Other lucrative careers beckon.
This priest was well aware that I was taking his pictures and I did mention to him that I would put it up on my blog. In fact he was quite thrilled with the idea.
