These photographs were taken some years ago in the Dubai desert.
In the first image the sand seems a trifle hard and in the second image it seems softer.
The designs, patterns and colours of sand is fascinating!
In the pictures below the sand looks different, and that's probably because of the lighting and the angle of the camera. Looks almost like cake or cream.
A glimpse of the sea between the sky and the sand.
This last photograph is of the desert sand, but not so pretty. For one thing tyre tracks have disturbed the sand. Also bits of vegetation underneath the sand and some remnants of fire make the sand uneven and pimply. It looks like a close-up of a potato!
